Garrett Soden

President, CEO and Director

Mr. Garrett Soden has worked with the Lundin Group for more than a decade and has extensive experience as a senior executive and board member of various public companies in the natural resources sector. Mr. Soden is currently a Non-Executive Director of Gulf Keystone Petroleum Ltd. and Panoro Energy ASA. He holds a BSc honours degree from the London School of Economics and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Mr. Soden has been President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Africa Energy Corp. since July 2017. He is a member of the Reserves Commttee. Mr. Soden is not considered to be independent of the Company and executive management. In the Company's opinion, he is independent of the Company's principal owners.

Jan Maier

Vice President - Exploration

Mr. Jan Maier has more than 30 years of experience in African new venture exploration. Most recently, he was the New Ventures Exploration Manager at Tullow Oil plc following its acquisition of Energy Africa in 2004. Mr. Maier has a Bachelor of Administration and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Stellenbosch Business School.

Mr. Maier has been Vice President Exploration of Africa Energy Corp. since March 10, 2015. He is not a member of the Board or any of its committees. Mr. Maier is not considered to be independent of the Company and executive management. In the Company’s opinion, Mr. Maier is considered to be independent of the Company’s principal owners.

Jeromie Kufflick

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Jeromie Kufflick is a Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan. Mr. Kufflick has over 18 years of experience focused in the oil and gas industry and is the former Controller for Africa Oil Corp. and Trican Well Service Ltd.

Mr. Kufflick has been Chief Financial Officer of Africa Energy Corp. since September 20, 2011. He is not a member of the Board or any of its committees. Mr. Kufflick is not considered to be independent of the Company and executive management. In the Company’s opinion, Mr. Kufflick is considered to be independent of the Company’s principal owners.
